First entry

This is my first time to keep a blog.  After much encouragement from my father and husband, I started this blog to keep all of our loved ones up to date on Penelope's progress.  In a later entry I will explain who Penelope is and why she needs to progress. 
For now, please note that to protect the privacy of the other patients and parents in the NICU, I will change the names of the parents and not give the names of the other patients.  Also, I will not discuss my former employer, due to a confidentiality agreement.
